PRAYER REQUEST

Praise the Lord!

A special prayer request to all our FB followers. As prophesied GOD is expanding the ministry and its activities. The number of people attending our church in Nalgonda has increased many folds. Every Sunday many people are sitting outside the church sometime in the hot sun. We are unable to accommodate all the people in the church during nature’s calamities, such rain, strong winds etc. We had been praying persistently for extension of church.

There is vacant plot beside the church and behind the church, both the owners of the plots offered to sell it us at a reasonable price. However we don’t have sufficient funds to buy. If we acquire those plots we will be able to extend the church and accommodate all the people. Since, our church members are from average income holders it is difficult for them to contribute more to the church.

Please refer my earlier postdated 19.04.2014.

PLEASE PRAY

FASTINGS

FASTING

Means making a decision to stay without taking food for the purpose of having a deeper spiritual experience with God.

It is a common occurrence in the bible. Many bible saints fasted like Moses – 40 days (Exo 24:12-18, 34:26), Samuel (1 Sam 7:5-6), Esther (Esther 4:16), Jesus (Matt 4:1-2), John’s disciples, the apostles, the early Christians etc.

Kinds of Fasting.

1. Absolute fasting – when one does not Eat but drink only water. (This could be the fasting used by Jesus for he never complained of thirst).
2. Complete / Total / Normal fasting – No food but only liquids.

When did people pray in the bible?
1. when there was a disaster
2. when they were going through emotional problems
3. when there was grief
4. when there was anxiety or impending danger
5. when they received bad news
6. when God gave instructions to do so
7. when there was sin in the land
Because we still experience the above today, we need to fast.

Why should we fast?
1. To seek God when repenting as an individual or nation eg people of Nineveh repented during Jonah’s time (Jonah 3:5-10) by fasting and praying. They decided to God.
2. To humble ourselves before God – God does not like proud people. He resists them 1 Pet 5:5-6 James 4:10.
3. For God to give you direction on an issue – When confused and you don’t know what to do, seek God by fasting. Ezra fasted to ask God whether he should be assisted by the King or he should rely on God. Ezra 8:21
4. To gain victory over temptations or sin. To get victory over sins like malice, hatred, drinking, smoking, drug addiction, immorality, adolescence crisis etc. the powers that hold us are easily broken when we fast. Eph 6:10-13
5. To get protection from danger – During Esther’s time, Haman plotted how to kill all the Jews. Realizing they were in danger, they fasted and God killed him. The devil would wish to kill you, when you feel afraid, fast and pray.
6. Helps in casting demons. In Matthew 17:14-21, the disciples were unable to cast out demons in a boy. He told them this was only possible if they could have fasted and prayed.
7. Helps to release the power of God in us for ministry. Would you like to do more and to have more power as you serve God? Then fast. Acts 13:2-3
8. Helps us obtain favor from God – Special favors will require you to fast as you work your way. If you need a job favor, passing exams etc, ask God for that favor. Esther was granted favor before the king after fasting for 3 days.
9. It is commanded by God. God always commanded his people to return to him through fasting. Jesus told disciples in Matthew 6:16-18 ‘when you fast’ not ‘if’.
10. Helps us to obtain healing from God. Isa 58: says we shall receive quick healing when we fast. Drinking pure water during fasting is quite good as it eliminates toxic waste in the body. You can also get divine healing. During a fast, the body improves physically and spiritually
11. Helps us gain more understanding about God’s word. You gain great wisdom and understanding of God’s word when you fast.
12. Helps us to discipline ourselves. You can discipline your soul through fasting. Your heart starts longing for what God desires.
13. Helps us to put to death the carnal body so as to walk by the spirit. Praying and fasting helps you to put to death such evils. Col 3:5-6.
14. Helps us to purify our channels so that God can use us. Fasting enables God to clean our body, spirit and soul. Let prepare the way of the Lord in our lives. Isa 40:3.
15. Helps us obtain divine strength for tasks ahead. Paul got his strength in weakness. 2 Cor 12:9. He says ‘when I am weak I am strong’. You can achieve supernatural things through fasting.
16. Helps us to do more intensive prayer. Fasting is good for you. It will help you to be more prepared for what might happen later. Jesus told his 3 disciples to watch and pray so that they may not get tempted, but they slept. When the trial hour came, peter had to rely on his knife than God’s protection.
17. Helps to increase our spiritual level and starts revealing his plans and strategies to us.
18. Helps to increase our faith. Fasting breaks barriers of unbelief in our hearts. It strengthens our faith and helps us to be filled with the Holy Spirit, win souls to God’s kingdom, pray for the sick, improve our Christian life, do impossible things.
19. Helps us to take over a land for Jesus. For us to win a city or a nation to Jesus, we need to pray and fast over long periods. It requires us to be persistent – not giving up. Are you ready for this?
20. Can be done as a service and sacrifice to God. Anna, a prophetess in Luke 2:37 served God with prayers and fasting day and night. She did this in a way of serving God.
21. From Isaiah 58, the following are other advantages:
a.V8. Your light will break forth. You will prosper in health, relationship, material wise, school etc.
b. V8 Your righteousness shall go before you. You will have victory over sin.
c. V8. God will anoint you.
d. V9 God will always be at your service to answer you.
e. V11. God will continually guide you in all you do.
f. V11. God will provide for you, even during famine times
g. V11. You will be refreshed (renewed). You will be like a well watered garden
h. V12. God will use you to restore others.
i. V12. You shall rise up foundations. Things that were not will spring up because of your involvement.
j. V12. You will repair hopeless situations.
k. V14. God will promote you.
l. V14. You will be blessed and will bless.
22. Releases a great outpouring of the Holy Spirit and restoration of God’s glory. Joel 1:8-14; 2:12-15; 2:23-29.

FASTING AND PRAYER SERIES - 1

Fasting and Prayer Series -1

Fasting and prayer is one of the most powerful spiritual combinations on earth. True fasting brings humility and alignment with God. It breaks the power of flesh and demons. It kills unbelief and brings answers to prayer when nothing else works.
It has been well said that prayer is not preparation for the battle – prayer IS the battle. And of all the things we can do to enhance the power and focus of prayer, fasting is doubtless the most potent.
This is where the power is at, because fasting puts us in harmony with an All Powerful God who demands humility from those who wish to be close to Him. Fasting humbles the flesh. When it is done for that purpose, it pleases the Spirit of God.
You can go a certain distance in God, and experience many things, without fasting much, but the highest, richest and most powerful blessings always go to those who together with other disciplines, fast much unto God. The most significant Biblical characters, with the possible exception of Abraham, were all men of fasting and prayer. Jesus, the Son of God, was a man of fasting and prayer (Matthew 4:2). So was the apostle Paul (2 Corinthians 11:27). Moses fasted 80 days. Elijah fasted 40 days. The early church fasted before starting any major work. The greatest spiritual leaders of the 20th century who are making an impact are all men of fasting of prayer to my knowledge. Anyone who started a significant spiritual movement in Christianity was, to the best of my knowledge – Luther, Wesley, Finney, Booth were all men of fasting. In our day, Cho, Bonnke,Benny Hinn, Osborn, Annacondia are all men of much fasting. If done right, fasting counts a lot with God.
Fasting is not magic, nor does it twist the arm of God. God wants to do many amazing things, but He looks for those willing to urgently make the corrections needed to come into line with him. God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble. Successful fasting is also the fastest way to learn patience. It takes patience and endurance to fast for more than a day. Many of God's tests come quicker to us when we fast, and we have a better opportunity to pass them. If we want to go far with God we would have to face these tests anyway, but much later, and in a more time consuming and difficult way. We need to embrace the correction God wants to apply to our souls.
Fasting gives you God's focus for your life. It is a major key to hearing God's voice (the other is true worship – the two are related). We need focus from God more than anything. The world we live in is working overtime to distract us, to entice us, to win our hearts and minds, our focus, and to determine our vision. Fasting cuts out the world so we can tune into God. If we are obedient to God fasting will make us for revival and awakening.

CHURCH EXTENSION

Praise the LORD !
When the ministry started at RAMNAGAR village in NALGONDA the church was in a small hut with a roof of thatch. When some of the villagers forced to close the church, Pastor David bought a small piece of land about 244 Sq Yds and constructed the church like a small shed with tin roof. Because of the church construction and preaching’s of Pastor David there was a visible change in the surroundings and among the village people. Its evident from the local police department. Now the church has grown people are coming from as far as 100 Kms also to attend the church. People are sitting outside the church in the open land under the tree in the hot sun. It has now become urgent to extend the church to accommodate all the people.
There is a vacant plot adjacent to the church measuring 277 Sq Yds and another plot Measuring 244 Sq Yds behind the church. If we can afford to purchase these plots, we will be able to build a spacious church with three sides road. Well our financial position is weak, we depend on the LORD for HIS help.
When this proposal of purchase of land is put in front of the congregation, there was a suggestion that able persons can donate the amount equivalent to cost of one Sq Yd of the land which is approximately around Rs.4000 only which will be repaid in due course of time. People have come forward to contribute even though they are very poor. The number is too small to proceed further.
Hence ,we thought to place it to, in public notice so that inspired people may come forward to be a part in building the HOUSE OF GOD by purchasing a single SqYd. It’s purely voluntary basis excess money received if any will be refunded. At this stage we cannot afford to go for proposed building drawings as we have to pay huge amounts to architectures and engineers which we don’t have now. Surely it will be placed on reaching the targets.
The church as a whole is praying vigorously for this.
GOD SAID “ YOU BUILD MY HOUSE AND I WILL BUILD YOURS”
SO LET US START BUILDING HIS HOUSE TO BUILD OURS.

FASTING AND PRAYING

Throughout history, God has called on His people to humble themselves through fasting and prayer. Fasting is a spiritual weapon God uses to advance His kingdom, change the destiny of nations, brings revival, and victory in people’s lives. There is something powerful that happens when we voluntarily humble ourselves, seek God’s will, and agree with Him for His purposes to be fulfilled.
As a church, we begin with a season of prayer and fasting every year in the month of April and ends in June. It is our way of humbling ourselves before God as a church. It is also the time when we corporately come into agreement and believe together for breakthroughs in our personal lives, families, finances, ministry and all our branch churches.
Over the years, as a result of this time of fasting (40days, 21days, 14days, 7&3days of complete day and night fasting), approximately 500+ House Of Prayer Church – nlg members with fasting, gather in powerful prayers in the last days, we have seen great revival in the church and people receiving salvation, healing, family restoration, miraculous provision, anointing of the Holy spirit and also receive GODs WILL in their lives. We have seen tremendous growth in churches. One of the highlights is always seeing and hearing testimonies of how God answers, over and beyond what people ask.
Declare a holy fast; call a sacred assembly. Summon the elders and all who live in the land to the house of the LORD your God, and cry out to the LORD. Joel 1:14
1.Jesus fasted.
2.Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the desert to be tempted by the devil. After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry.         Matthew 4:1, 2
Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and news about him spread through the whole countryside.Luke 4:14
Before He began His ministry, Jesus fasted forty days. He knew He was going to need spiritual strength to fulfill His purposes. Fasting makes us physically weak but spiritually strong and prepares us to do God’s work.
3.Fasting is an act of humility, consecration and transforming into his image.
. . . I put on sackcloth and humbled myself with fasting. . . .Psalm 35:13
Humility results in the grace of God. When we humble ourselves in prayer, we have instant access to the heart of God. As we deny ourselves as an act of consecration, we are better able to exercise self-control. We can keep our emotions and desires under control.
4.Fasting helps us become sensitive to the Holy Spirit.
5.While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”  Acts 13:2
When we deny ourselves of our natural cravings, our spiritual senses become sharper. We become more sensitive to His voice as we divert ourselves of worldly distractions. We are better able to focus on God and submit to His will. This opens the door for the Holy Spirit into our lives.
6.Fasting brings revival.
…in the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, understood from the Scriptures, according to the word of the LORD given to Jeremiah the prophet, that the desolation of Jerusalem would last seventy years. 3So I turned to the Lord God and pleaded with him in prayer and petition, in fasting, and in sackcloth and ashes. Daniel 9:2, 3
Fasting helps us prevail in prayer and intercession. Daniel understood that Israel was headed for destruction. He also knew that in times like these, there is only one recourse—intercession through praying and fasting. Throughout human history, God has brought revival and delivered nations from destruction in response to prayer and fasting.

WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IF CHRIST IS NOT BORN

IF JESUS HAD NOT COME TO THIS WORLD : IMAGINE A WORLD WITHOUT CHRIST

1.SPIRITUALLY
If Jesus had not come to this world ,imagine the consequences spiritually . There would no hope of salvation for mankind. There would be no Christianity , no Christians , no churches , no sermons , no ministers , no christian events or services , no healing or miracles , no deliverance from demonic possession or oppression or witchcraft or generational curses , no divine peace and joy to experience , no bible or christian literature to guide us, no forgiveness of sins or eternal life or fellowship with God. Imagine our spiritual condition if Christ had not come to this world.
2.SOCIALLY
If Jesus had not come to this world ,imagine the consequences socially. There would be no christian organisations involved in social work , no christian hospitals , no christian rehabilitation centers , no christian orphan homes , no christian care givers ,no christian suicide prevention centers , no christian ministries helping alcoholics and drug addicts to be delivered from their evil habits , no feed the hungry ministries , no christian relief agencies to help those devastated by natural disasters , wars , communal riots , no christian social reformers fighting injustice and eradicating social evils , no christian influence to liberate women and children from oppression and ignorance. Imagine our social condition if Christ had not come to this world.
3. UNIVERSALLY
If Jesus had not come to this world ,imagine the consequences universally. There would have been no force to combat the forces of satan and his evil spirits in the earth. There would have been no restraint to the evil and destruction of satan in the lives of people. There would be no one to destroy the works of the devil. There would no one to descend into hell and take captivity captive and disarm the powers of the devil on the cross. There would no name in which we can overcome the attacks of the devil.Imagine our universal condition if Christ had not come to this world.
4.CULTURALLY
If Jesus had not come to this world ,imagine the consequences culturally. There would no christian influence on moral values or philosophy of life or culture or human behavior. The teachings of Christ would not be available to guide humanity in the path of righteousness and to help distinguish right from wrong. Also there would not be the wealth and treasure of christian talent. There would be no christian artists , no christian painters , no christian singers and songwriters , no christian music or christian songs . no christian books , no christian poems or articles and no clean christian entertainment. Imagine our cultural condition if Christ had not come to this world.
5.EDUCATIONALLY
If Jesus had not come to this world ,imagine the consequences educationally. There would be no christian schools , colleges and universities. Leaders of nations , businesses , institutions and social organisations would not have benefited from the wisdom and influence of a christian education which would have affected their values and skills in decision making. The poor and marginalized and oppressed children and women would have failed to get an education and a chance to elevate their status in life. There would be no christian educators or scientists who have blessed the world with their knowledge and scientific inventions and discoveries.Imagine our educational condition if Christ had not come to this world.
6.HISTORICALLY
If Jesus had not come to this world ,imagine the consequences historically. Human history would not have been dated BC and AD . History would have lost its focal point of reference. There would be no christian influence guiding the destiny of nations. There would not have been any christian nations which, when compared to other nations, enjoy great economic prosperity and development ,in spite of failing of observe their allegiance to Christ and His teachings. There would have unbridled violence and aggression as nations pursue their ambitions in the absence of any christian values. Imagine our historical condition if Christ had not come to this world.
7. POLITICALLY
If Jesus had not come to this world ,imagine the consequences politically. There would be no Christian influence in the formation of the laws of the nations. Constitutions of nations, which determine the destiny of millions of citizens, would be written without the benefit of the wisdom enshrined in the Holy Bible. The teachings of Christ would not be available to inspire political leaders to follow the path of non-violence in their struggle for freedom and justice. Imagine our political condition if Christ had not come to this world.
ON THIS CHRISTMAS DAY MAY OUR HEARTS BE FILLED WITH GRATITUDE AND LOVE TOWARDS THE LORD FOR ALL THE BENEFITS WE HAVE RECEIVED THROUGH THE COMING OF CHRIST TO THIS WORLD .
" Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift! " 2 Corinthians 9:15

EIGHT PILLARS

EIGHT PILLARS of the LUKEWARM CHURCH:
(Eight great steps to keep your church weak).

1. Don't talk about the Hell or the Judgments of God. You can talk about Love, Mercy forgiveness. But Wrath, Judgments & Hell are not popular anymore.
2. Don't talk about speaking in tongues, because of it's strangeness, you don't want to scare anyone away.
3. Don't talk about deliverance, demonic attacks or Spiritual warfare, these subjects are only for select few, not everyone.
4. Don't acknowledge any current prophets, any current visions, or any current prophesies. You'll need to protect your church's reputation from anything controversial. If someone in your congregation is getting vision or prophecies, talk to them privately but don't let the congregation know about these.
5. Don't use the Laying on of Hands.
6. Preach the Cross is a way as to make people think they need to pick up one.
7. Don't talk about being filled with the Holy Spirit, just assume that once a person says a little prayer and attends church, that he is already full of the Spirit, and nothing else is needed.
8. A 5 minute prayer before the sermon and other meetings should be enough

SEVEN DEADLY SINS

1 - PRIDE, which makes one feel superior to others is totally wrong. This sin was Lucifer’s downfall! The Bible says, “Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall”. (Prov. 15:8)

2 - GREED has caused more wars and created more gangsters and promoted more theft than any other sin.

The Bible says, “Thou shalt not COVET...” (Exodus 20:17) “For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.” (1 Timothy 6:10-11)

3 - LUST is the desire for something not lawfully yours. A sensual desire for the forbidden fruit! It includes an inordinate desire for power, control, sex, substance abuse or wealth. Lust always brings spiritual death, in the end!

The Bible says, “Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.” (James 1:15)

4 - ANGER or HATRED causes high blood pressure, ulcers, violent confrontation and even murder!

Jesus said, “But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes. “Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

“If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.” (1 John 2:11; 3:15; 4:20-21)

5 - GLUTTONY is an over indulgence in eating. A phobia or inordinate desire to eat food, even when one is not hungry. A good rule is: Eat to live, not live to eat! A day of fasting & prayer each week does wonders for us - spiritually & physically!

Let’s use the extra money we save through fasting to give to the poor & needy and to support the poor and the orphaned!

6 - ENVY will also cause the blood pressure to rise and the demons of jealousy and pride to fabricate lies and even fantasies in a person, given over to this wicked sin!

The Bible says, “Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts thereof.” (Romans 13:13-14)

7 - SLOTH goes hand in hand with laziness and poverty. St. Paul stated, "Be not slothful in business". (Romans 12:11) “For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister. And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end: That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.” (Hebrews 6:10-12)

Commands

Three Commands

The three commands of Christ are summed up as “Preach. Teach. Heal.” (Math 4:23) The authority of Jesus covers both teaching and healing. We are sent to teach what Christ taught and to do what Christ did. We do it “in His name”; that is, as His authorized representatives. He taught and acted in the Father’s name, and we teach and act in Jesus’ name. Everybody in the Church accepts that we must continue what Jesus began teaching, but we cannot just teach and omit what He did. We must heal as well as teach. If we don’t then there is no real continuation of Christ’s ministry. We have only completed half the task: “Go and make disciples … teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you” (Matt. 28:19).

Church

Why go to church?

Think of it like this. Candles stand in candlesticks, light bulbs go into light sockets, and trees grow in soil. Without candlesticks, candles would fall over. Without being plugged in, light bulbs would never shine. And without soil, trees would simply die. For Christians, the church is a candlestick, a power source, and somewhere to put down roots – so that you can stand, shine, and grow. Alongside the Bible and prayer, the church is one of the rich resources, which God has given us in our lives as Christians.
